EU AI Act
The European Union's comprehensive regulation on artificial intelligence, classifying AI systems by risk tier with obligations scaled to risk level.
- Prohibited: social scoring, real-time biometric surveillance
- High Risk: Annex III categories (employment, education, etc.)
- GPAI: general-purpose AI models with transparency obligations
- Limited Risk: chatbots and synthetic media

California AB 2013
Requires developers of generative AI to disclose training data details before making models available in California.
